Children can have a school meal or bring a packed lunch of their own.

School Meals

We provide nutritious and healthy school meals which are cooked onsite and have a range of options each day including jacket potatoes, a picnic lunch, a hot meal choice and pasta dish. You can order these via our easy to use ParentPay app.

Our school meals are cooked at our partner school, Duchy of Lancaster Primary School, and they provide a well-balanced, wholesome and good value meal. The price of a school lunch is currently £2.41 per day. Please order and pay for your child's lunch using ParentPay.

Free School Meals

Currently all children in Year R, 1 & 2 can receive a 'universal infant' free school meal due to current government policy. However, we still need you to let us know if you meet the requirements for a traditional free school meal because you are on benefits etc. as the school receives funding which can support the work we do across the school. If you have questions or are not sure if you qualify please speak with staff in the office who will handle your query in confidence.

Food Allergies

Our catering company Caterlink are currently in the process of migrating our allergen and dietary database online to improve the way we manage and support pupils with dietary needs.

This will allow us to ensure our records are fully up to date ahead of the new academic year and that all pupils receive the correct menu provision.

When completing the form, parents/carers will need to select your school from a dropdown list.

The school will appear with a specific number followed by the school address underneath

Criteria For Free School Meals

You are eligible if you are in receipt of the following:

  • Income Support;
  • Income Based Job Seekers Allowance;
  • Income Related Employment and Support Allowance;
  • Child Tax Credit, as long as you do not get Working Tax Credit and whose annual income (as assessed by HM Revenue & Customs) does not exceed £16,190;
  • Support under part VI of the Immigration & Asylum Act 1999;
  • Guarantee element of State Pension Credit;
  • Universal Credit (with an annual take home pay of no more than £7,400, as assessed by earnings from up to three of your most recent assessment periods).

Packed Lunches

Packed lunches should be brought to school in a strong container with your child’s name on it.

Soft drinks need to be in a suitable plastic container. Fizzy or sugar drinks are not allowed. Water is available for all children.

We have a number of children in school who are highly allergic to nuts and seeds.

Please DO NOT include these items in your child’s packed lunch or snack. This can be in any form, including peanut butter and most chocolate spreads. Please ask at the office should you require clarification.

Snacks and Water

We encourage children to bring a healthy snack.

Fruit/vegetables are provided for all children in Years R, 1 and 2.

All children have access to drinking water throughout the day.

They may bring a named ‘sports’ bottle in from home to keep on the desk.
